How do I
choose a course?
Review the CATALOG.
Drill down through the sections until you find the
course you are looking for. Call 1-877-595-6925
for free course selection support.
How do I know if e-learning is for me?
If you do well with independent study
and you're comfortable using your computer and
web-browser, you will find e-learning to be a natural
fit for on-going learning. If you're not sure if
e-learning is your style, ask for a
free demo.
How long will my ID be active?
A regular active ID gives you up to 12 months to complete your
studies. Specials are for 3 months or 8 months; see
catalog for details.
You can repeat the courseware program as many times as you
like during the active ID period.
What courses are available?
The catalog is always expanding. At present we
offer over 2,200 courses in computer studies (software,
hardware, end-user and technical) and business
(management, customer relations, home business, and
more). Courseware topics are updated every 3 months,
and a development schedule for longer-term catalog options
is maintained: CATALOG »
Are the courses scored?
All of the interactive (Q&A) courses are scored,
and usage reports are available both in real-time or as a
summary (request summary reports by email). Scoring
is available for a skill assessment (pre-test or
post-study), and through the courseware as it is
studied. 'First Score' and 'Best Score' are shown as
percentages in the usage reports.
What if I lose my ID/password?
Send your ID or password inquiry to: info@elearningcanadadepot.com
Are additional learning materials available?
Most courses include downloadable glossaries, exercises
and other digital files.
Will I receive a certificate?
Certificates can be produced online from the courseware
itself, at no additional charge. ELearningCanadaDepot.com also provides custom colour
certificates with signature, pressed gold seal, and
summarized scoring. These are ideal for summarizing
a full program of study. They are useful for job
portfolios, job applications, and framing. These
custom certificates are available for
$20.00-Cdn+gst (or $17.50-USD).

Technical:
Operating System: Courseware operates on
PC/Windows. A minimum operating system of Win98
and 32 MB RAM is required. Windows 2000 and XP are
supported. Novell (Netware and IntraNetware) and Mac
systems are NOT
supported.
Browser: This courseware performs best in
Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) Level 6 or higher. MSIE browsers
should be kept current by doing Windows Updates
regularly (daily or weekly). Netscape is NOT
supported. FireFox browser usage is not supported.
Plug-Ins / MacroMedia Flash Player: Full
interactivity for all courses requires Flash (v.7 or
higher). Text-only courses may be viewed without
Flash. V.7 works well with these courses; v.9 is the
newest available Flash Player (as of Dec.3/07).
Cookies: The
user's system must be enabled for
cookies.
Pop-Up Blocker Warning: The courseware
detects if the pop-up blocker is active in your
browser. You will need to disable any active pop-up
blockers to avoid interference with course functionality.
Computer Location / Multiple Access Points: Any web-enabled computer may be used. If you are
working between two or more systems (e.g. office and
home), and you want to retain accurate scoring, it helps
to wait an hour or so between sessions (to allow server
logs to catch up).
Firewalls and Networked Systems: Firewalls
and network restrictions may affect individual user
accessibility (in such cases, advise your in-house system
administrator or technical staff). Most such
situations are resolvable. Ask your tech rep to
contact info@elearningcanadadepot.com
for further information.
System Expectations and Tech Support: Basic tech information is available by email or
phone. However, users are expected to have
current-standard computers that are Web-enabled, including
a current version of Flash.
Disclaimer:
ELearningCanadaDepot.com (owned by Brookeline Publishing
House Inc., and also operating TrainingontheWeb.net) is not responsible for the technical function
of any user's computer system and is not responsible for
any tech support costs at the user's end.
